Who is behind Astro Cat?
All Astro Cat Studio products are designed and produced at home in my tiny studio/guest room by me: Paula! a professional graphic designer, amateur illustrator and forever arts and crafts lover living in Dublin, Ireland. I have been designing journal accessories and stationery as a side hobby since 2015 and throughout these years I have worked hard to perfect my techniques. I experiment with a variety of materials and processes so I can offer unique designs and great quality products with carefully selected fun little images, concepts, and colors.
Astro Cat Studio is my personal project and everything that it involves -including this website- is built entirely by me. I make use of everything I have learnt since I started drawing as a kid, through Design School and after I graduated: all my professional experience in my design career.
MY PHILOSOPHY
I am working towards transforming my packaging into 100% recyclable and making my products more eco-friendly by reducing my production waste as much as I can. I will use every bit of material if that’s possible! -and I always recycle what cannot be used-.
I also try to create products that have a message of happiness, positivity and inclusivity. The recent world events have made it clear that, although these are only cute little stationery products, it’s really important that everything we do has a positive impact and is meaningful to whoever comes across someone’s work.
